Illinois Department of Labor2 Provisions l Day off in each week 24 hours of rest in each calendar week l Meal period 20 minutes after 5 hours of work if 7 1/2 hour of work or longer

Illinois Department of Labor3 One day off each week l Every employee must receive 24 consecutive hours of rest in each calendar week l Calendar week is always Sunday through Saturday

Illinois Department of Labor4 Meal period required l 20 minutes required within five hours of starting time for all employees required to work 7 1/2 hours or longer l additional 20 minutes in each continuous 7 1/2 hours
