A Rental Housing Experience By James Woodington
I am moving to Portland, Oregon with two of my closest friends! The adventure awaits! We selected Portland for several reasons: The nearby University The natural beauty of its surroundings The culture of the city Our choice has come down to 2 options! The Commons At Timber Creek A Townhouse on SE Harrison Street
Views from the outside……
The Floorplan we looked into was called The Augustine It has 3 bedrooms, two baths, and 1192 square feet of living space! All this for only $ $1195 a month! That’s only $349 - $399 a person!
Just a little look on the inside. This is where we eat, sleep, and relax. Home really is where the heart is!
Although there are many features and amenities offered by this apartment, a few that stick out include: New washer and dryer in each apartment! Pool and spa for community use! Walk-In closets! Pet friendly! Beautifully landscaped property!
I’d like to live here because: The landscaping looks great! The description said there is over 35 acres on the property, including a natural creek! It’s pet friendly! We can bring in rescue animals and feel like good citizens! I wouldn’t want to live here because: It was built in Even with renovations, that seems old! It is further away from the downtown area than I wanted to be.
Our own garage? That grass could use some work!
This place has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths! That extra half bath is sure to be handy! Almost 1,300 square feet throughout! Rent is going to be $1,250/month, or about $417/month per person Staying under budget baby!
Wide open spaces! Check out that fireplace!
There are so many great things about this house! Just to name a few… Gas fireplace Large fenced backyard Private garage The owner pays for water, sewage, and garbage! Mad appliances included!
I’d like to live here because: Fire and fireplaces are awesome! Spacious and more private than an apartment complex I wouldn’t want to live here because: No pets allowed The listing wasn’t detailed enough and left me with questions Is there air conditioning?
Between these two properties I would select The Commons At Timber Creek. Although it wasn’t easy, a few of the reasons I leaned towards this selection are: Beautiful scenery compared to a patchy backyard They allow pets! Pool and spa parties!
