Presentation transcript:

 What is pollution?  People are dying from unsafe water  Scarcity of water not too far away  The most significant source of water pollution are human practices; as a result they are the ones suffering from it.

 Point source water pollution ◦ From pipes  Nonpoint sources ◦ Results from rainfall and snowmelts

 Originates from household activities  Plastic is the most common waste

 Pesticides  Harmful to health  Affordable practices

 1 billion people with no access.  Impacts children’s learning.

 Health Problems.  Lack of Clean Water  Suffer from acute symptoms

 Fish  Birds  Polar bears ◦ Bio-accumulation

 What is it?  Canada oil spills  Controlled burning

 90% of groundwater polluted  Warned by World Bank

 Use natural fertilizers  Ecofriendly products  Do not waste water  Raise awareness

 Easy solution  Reduce, Reuse, Recycle  Conserves water

In order to survive, clean water and air are two of the main resources that every human needs. Yet, the availability of clean water is slowly decreasing. The largest single factor for this change is the lack of care by the human race. Non- availability of clean water and air has a powerful effect on our health. Due to polluted air and water, we absorb huge amounts of chemicals that only deteriorate our good health. Lack of access to clean air can cause many different health problems such as asthma and various kinds of cancer can have damaging effects on the brain as well as the nervous system. Which is why we need to do what we can to reduce its spread.
