To understand the meaning of intrinsic and extrinsic rewards To describe recreational activities both indoors and outdoors. To understand what is meant by a lifetime sport.

Leisure and recreation allows an individual to life a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Activities can be competitive or non-competitive and suit a variety of purposes. 1. Leisure Leisure time is the portion of time allocated free of work duties. TASK: Can you name some leisure activities?

Recreational activities provide a person with time to relax. Recreation time is a diversion from day-to-day duties. 2. Recreation TASK: Can you list some non-competitive recreational activities?
