True Israel Seeks God’s Righteousness Three keys to seeking God’s righteousness: 1)They know it –Hebrews 8: I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. –Hebrews 5:12-14 Initial knowledge continued knowledge

True Israel Seeks It by Faith The motivation for seeking God’s righteousness is faith –I Timothy 1:19-20 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck… –Some had been: Feigning faith (1:5) Desiring unearned positions (1:7)

True Israel Displays Its Faith 3 indications that the focus is a displayed faith: 1) Confession is placed before belief 2)Romans 10:11 …Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 3)The phrase repeated is “calling on the name of the Lord” –Romans 10:12, 13, 14 John 12:42 …but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him…

The marks of true Israel: They seek God’s righteousness They seek it by faith They display that faith Are you of the Israel of God (Galatians 6:16)?
