Inside the Church The Church is even more special when there are people in the Church who make up the Community of the Church.

How are you welcomed into the Church Community? You were first welcomed into the church community when you received the Sacrament of Baptism.

The four symbols of Baptism

Meaning of the symbols of Baptism Water is the symbol of new life and cleansing from sin. The candle reminds us that Jesus is the Light of the World. The holy oils are symbols of healing and strength which comes from the Holy Spirit. The white garment is a symbol of dignity, and of Jesus’ Resurrection which gives us new life.
