What is Social Network ? Internet or mobile-device- based social spaces designed to facilitate communication, collaboration and content sharing across network of contacts.

History Bulletin board system (1978) – the first social network Geocities and Tripod (1994) SixDegrees (1997) started the rises of social network sites. Shut down in 2000 Friendster (2002) improved upon SixDegrees Myspace (2002) – became #1 social network site Facebook (2004) – now #1 social network site
