D EFINITION Mechatronics Mechatronics is a field that combines the following skill sets: Electrical Mechanical Programming Welding Hydraulics Programmable logic controls (PLC) Robotics Fabrication Mechatronics technicians install, maintain and repair industrial equipment

W HAT IS AMTEC Industry-Led Curriculum AMTEC works with colleges and industry partners to create industry-led maintenance certification assessments and to validate college curriculum aligned to industry-led skills standards. AMTEC is a collaboration of community and technical colleges and industry partners who seek to better prepare highly skilled technicians and manufacturing engineers for work in automobile manufacturing and technology.
