EDLT 536 Design Project Presentation Learning and collaborating with visual data Submitted by Sushan Chin November 30, 2008

Learning context and environment The staff of a non-profit funding organization is interested in learning about  the countries and geographic regions that received or are currently receiving funding  what topics (arts, education, etc.) are funded  identifying opportunities for collaboration thereby increasing impact in a region

Learning model To use data visualization and data mapping to present textual data in a way that is easier to understand To support collaborative learning

Learning goals Enable authentic learning by employing a data visualization tool that supports the staff’s daily work Provide a space for funders to share knowledge, ask questions and to collaborate Support project-based learning by giving staff the ability to learn with and from each other
