Prizes and How they Work At least $1,000 up for grabs every hour thanks to our generous sponsors and partners. Remember: Individual donors matter most, not $$. Decide as an organization whether to target specific hours. Rally your night owls, early risers and influencers. Avoid shenanigans (shredding, hourly minimums).

Prizes! All May 3 prizes, plus schedule, will be revealed at April 7 training. Changes for 2016 Media will re-focus its prizes; no mystery hours. Pack the House (most total individual donors) will be DAY-OF, ONLINE GIFTS ONLY. Each Golden Ticket split into TWO prizes, one Springfield, one regional New KY3 Primetime Prize, 7 to 10 p.m.

Money Nuts and Bolts Cash or checks brought or mailed directly to the CFO can count toward your Give Ozarks total and certain prizes. MUST have a preload sheet (download at giveozarks.org/tools) Bring/send to office, ATTN: Julie or Winter PRE-LOAD deadline: 5 p.m., Thursday, April 28 POST-LOAD deadline: 5 p.m., Thursday, May 5 YOU are responsible for acknowledgement Agency must submit form indicating this money is a Give Ozarks match; cannot be withdrawn before June 10. Nonprofits’ Responsibilities Get agency leadership and board support for your participation. Decide on goal: Project, Operational, or Endowment. Attend training sessions. Create a profile page for your organization on the Give Ozarks website. Post Give Ozarks link on your website. Consider seeking sponsors and matching gifts for your agency.

Nonprofits’ Responsibilities Prepare your own marketing and promotion efforts using provided tools and templates. Pace yourselves! Identify a volunteer, board member or supporter to be main point person for your organization. Broadcast news about Give Ozarks Day using existing communication vehicles. Use social media to publicize your participation in Give Ozarks. Send thank-you notes to your donors.

CFO Responsibilities Provide the Give Ozarks platform; secure sponsorships for prizes. Metro Springfield mass media promotion of event. Facilitate regional coverage with agencies or CFO affiliate foundations. Toolkit with templates for easy promotion for individual agencies or groups of agencies. Umbrella social media promotion through May 3.

Endowment Match program 20 agencies have been selected to be eligible for $5,000 each in endowment match dollars. Pre-loaded, post-loaded money can be applied to match. You may transfer from capacity or operational fund to help meet match. Are you one of the 20? Stay after this session.

Financial Breakdown Example: Nonprofit raises $5,000 on Give Ozarks Day $5,000 from 100 online donations $110 – Deduct 2.2 percent credit-card fees $30 – Deduct 30 cents per transaction ______ $4,860 $48.60 – Deduct 1 percent platform fee ______ $4, – Net to Agency No 1 percent fee on prize money or CFO endowment match. No transaction fee on checks, cash or other offsite gifts.
