At age 26 Jose went to boot camp for his training. Once he was done with his training he was sent to fight in World War II in Korea

Jose left his family and friends behind with tears. The only way they could know if Jose was doing fine was by mail which took about two to three months to arrive in the united states. His family would suffer when Jose was in Korea. Most of the time Jose was in their prayers.

Jose Arnold came back to united states a hero. At the time he came back their was a big depression which he had trouble finding a job.
