Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Sriwijaya A320 aircraft. For you safety, we will now highlight the use of safety equipment on this aircraft. 1. Please ensure that your luggage does not obstruct the aisles or emergency exits and is safely stowed in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you. Do be careful when opening the overhead compartment. 2. During takeoff and landing, please ensure your tray tables are stowed and your seat is in the upright position. 3. The use of portable electronic devices such as cd-players and laptop, computers are not allowed during takeoff and landing. Transmitting devices such as mobilephones must be turned off and their use on board the aircraft is prohibited at all times.

4. Fasten your seatbelt like this and pull to tighten it. To release, lift the catch. 5. In the event of an emergency, you’ll find your lifevest stowed under your seat – or under the armrest between your seats. Slip the lifevest over your head and bring the waist strap around your waist. Connect the clip and tighten the strap by pulling it outwards. For smooth evacuation of the aircraft, you should inflate your lifevest only at the exit door. To inflate your lifevest pull the red tabs formally downwards. To inflate it further, blow into these mouthpieces. To attract attention, you have a whistle and a light. Special lifevests are available for children under the age of four.

6. In case of decompression, oxygen masks will automatically drop from the compartment above. Pull the mask down shortly to activate the flow of oxygen. Place the mask over your nose and mouth, place the elastic stap over your head and tighten it by pulling the ends of the straps. Remain calm and breath normally. If you are travelling with the child, attend to yourself first, then the child. Your oxygen supply is now regulated. It is normal for your oxygen bag to not fully inflate.

7. In case of an emergency landing, please put your seat upright, fasten your seatbelt and place your feet flat on the floor. When the command, “brace brace” is given, lean forward as far as possible. Lock your arms and brace in this position. Taller passengers may adopt this alternative position.

8. Please take note there are eight emergency exits in this aircraft. These exits are the two doors in the front and aft area and two at each side of the overwing windows. Please take note of the emergency exit nearest to you. During evacuation do not carry your handluggage with you. If smoke is present, keep low and follow the floor lights to the nearest exit indicated by a red light. Emergency exits are fitted with slide rafts and can be used for land and water evacuations.

9. The safety information card in your seat pocket contains details on the use of your lifevest and oxygen mask, the location of the emergeny exits and the evacuation routes. Please read this carefully before takeoff. 10. As this is a non-smoking flight, please do not smoke during the flight. Please also be reminded that smoking in the toilet will set up the smoke alarm. Thank you for your attention and we wish you a pleasant trip.
