Roller Coaster Museum at Six Flags Over GA High School

Six Flags has built a museum to showcase the history of the rides at the park. One of the newest displays focuses on the historical roller coasters of Six Flags Over GA. One of the first rides in the park was the Mini Mine Train which was introduced in 1969 and retired in The park is looking for a company that can safely move one or more of the cars from this roller coaster into the existing space in their museum.

Problem Due to the height restriction of the doors to the museum, the cars must be disassembled and reassembled on the actual display. This means that the wheels are brought in prior to the car body. Your company must design a method to slide the car body though the door opening without damaging the car, floor or door. Wheels are not permitted as they can damage the expensive granite floors in the museum. You will be provided with a scale model of the roller coaster car (brick). You will be given the scale dimensions of the brick

A website that markets and provides the engineering specifications of your way to move the coaster car into the museum. Include: Free body diagrams (4) Modification explanation Explain why the modification is successful Analysis of procedural errors (can be in a hidden web page)

2 minute video or digital presentation Description and pictures of your innovation Explanation of how and why it works. Why is it better than shoving the coaster across the floor? Free Body Diagrams (before and after the innovation) showing all of the forces acting on the coaster

Brick = 2.2 m long x 1.1 m wide x.5 m tall Door = 2.1 m high x.88 m wide..5 m tall 2.2 m 1.1 m
