Carly Kaden Kelly Roberts ECED 4300 A Dr. Tonja Root Spring, 2008 Grade 4- Color Poetry

Carly Kaden Prewriting stage GPS- ELA4W4. The student consistently uses a writing process to develop, revise, and evaluate writing. PLO- The student completes a graphic organizer to create a color poem

Form of writing- When using color poetry you begin the first three lines with a color. Describe it in the fourth line. And begin with that color in the last. You can repeat same color in each line or you may choose a different color. In a color poem you are using describing words to tell what the color is.

Stage of writing- Prewriting There are four key terms you will use when talking about the prewriting stage. Those are form, audience, purpose, and graphic organizer. The form is the type of poem that you will be writing. Today, we are going to be writing color poems.

The audience is who you are writing this poem for. Today your audience is going to be the class. The purpose is why you are writing this poem. We are writing these poems to entertain. The last part is the graphic organizer. This will help you put your ideas in an organized manner.
