The Patriot Act Is Spying on US citizens Ethical?

Privacy  Some may argue that citizens privacy is being invaded  How will the common people know if they are being taken advantage of  Some may argue that citizens privacy is being invaded  How will the common people know if they are being taken advantage of

9/11  People against the patriot act argue that it was passed only because it was proposed directly after the attack on the world trade center. It was hardly changed and was rushed through the senate.

Where Does It Stop?  The Patriot Act is far too broad. It applies to terrorists, people aiding terrorists, and law abiding citizens.  In the USA, one cant open a bank account with a P.O. box, must be a living address.  The Patriot Act is far too broad. Do You Have A Title III Wiretap Order?  Instead of filing for a wiretap order, now the law only has to get a general search warrant in order to tap into phone lines.

Bias  Law enforcement agencies can “shop” for judges that have a history of granting warrants.  Should they be allowed access to our private information so easily?  Law enforcement agencies can “shop” for judges that have a history of granting warrants.  Should they be allowed access to our private information so easily?

FBI  The FBI has the ability to access phone, , and personal files without a search warrant.

British Columbia  Canadians are worried that the US government can access their personal medical records, through being outsourced by American companies.

The Future  I think that the patriot act is an invasion of privacy and I hope the people of the US will come to realize that it is violating their civil rights. The hunt for terrorists is almost over and it is time to listen to reason.
