Point of View The story is told in first person point of view. What is first person?

Literary Terms and Definitions Allusion: a reference to a person, place, poem, book, event, etc., which is not part of the story. Antagonist: the person or force that is in conflict with, or opposes, the protagonist. Author’s style:we will talk about this later. Comic relief: the intrusion of humor interrupting or immediately following a scene of great excitement.

More terms… Conflict: the struggle that moves the action forward in a work of literature. Three types of conflict: man vs. man, man vs. nature, man vs. himself. Imagery: the use of words to evoke impressions and meanings that are more than just the basic, accepted definitions of the words themselves.
