KEYS to Public Speaking n It’s not so much WHAT you say, but HOW you say it. n What is your intent? –Education –New patients –Service –Persuasion

HOW you say it n Face forward –don’t ever talk with your back to the audience n Look ‘em in the EYES –or look ‘em in the forehead –the more you look at them the more you connect

How you say it n Economy of movement –move when it has meaning n changing topics/thoughts/paragraphs n you want to emphasize n Try to look relaxed (even if you’re not)

How you say it n Do YOU own it? –Have a command of the material –Have a unwavering confidence in the material (whatever it may be)

DO NOT “WING IT!” –practice and prepare –record yourself on audio and video –do you sound the way you’d like?
