Presentation transcript:

Quick summary: The book is quite short and is about a young Wizard (around 8 years old), called Max, and his sidekick, the talking cat Mjau, who has lots of fur (orange/browinsh). This is the first in what will (hopefully) be a series of books about Max. They live in a small, red house, with a «tower» on top with a small, round window. Inside this tower is Max`s room. Outside they have a nice garden with a huge tree. There is also a hedge there. The type of «feel» I want for the houses and surroundings are somewhat like the style that can be seen here: Basically a cool, little medievel village, where dragons exist and magic is all around is where they live.

Illustration 1: (large, detailed drawing) The young wizard suddenly wakes up as his mom, dad (a Gandalf-type wizard), and his younger brother (around 2-3 years) are standing by his bed, singing a Birthday-song. The cat lays in the footend of the bed with his paws over the ears to avoid hearing the song. The mom is holding a nice birthday-cake with 8 burning candles on it. His dad has a present (shaped as a magic wand). His younger brother has a slice of toast (bread) on top of his head. (The room is a typical boys room from medievel-dragon times (..) and you can perhaps see out from the round window.) Illustration 2: (medium) The young wizard and his cat are outside the red house in their garden with the big tree. The wizard is wearing his way too big wizards outfit, waving his new magic wand around, in one hand, while holding and looking on his book of spells (huge, old book) in the other. The cat is licking his paws. You can see a hedge along the garden, which separates the house from the neighbours. Illustration 3: (divided into 3 smaller ones - comic-book stripe type) The cat is now way up in the big tree, holding on to a small branch, with big, scared eyes. The wizard is eagerly flickering through his big book of spells. The cat is suddenly turned into a tortoise, then a sheep. (This happens as the magician from below tries to transform the cat into a bird)

Illustration 4: (Medium-large) In the garden again. The cat looks at the wizard with surprised eyes as he digs out a huge ladder from his magic pocket inside the wizard`s cape, which is is planning on using to climb up the tree. In the "background" walking away from them, and towards the red house, you can see the Gandalf-type dad.
