Attendance, Homework, and Grading
Attendance Policy Please let me know in advance if you are planning on being out and for how long (at least a week in advance) Students that will be absent will have as many days as they are out to make up work. (ex. Student is absent for 2 days, they will have 2 days to make up the work.) In most cases if a student is absent for an extended period, he or she will be excused from some (but not all) of the work for that week. Tardy bell is at 8:30!!! Breakfast is served at 7:30-8:15 ONLY
Work Requirements Students are required to put their first and last names- as well as the date on each paper. No Name papers will be hung in the back of the room. If a paper is not claimed within a week, it will be thrown out. Make up work will be sent home after an absence. If your student received less than 60% on a paper, they may correct it within that quarter for partial credit.
Homework Homework packets will go home every Monday. Students must complete at least two pages nightly- these will be checked each morning but will not be collected or graded at that time Packets are due on Friday morning. Students who have not completed this will miss Fun Friday.
Grades Grades reflecting your child’s progress will be entered weekly into FamilyLink. (Look on our class blog for the direct link) You may access the system from home via the internet. If you do not already have a log-in, I strongly suggest contacting the office to obtain access.
