Who is Alexander Wang? Alexander Wang was born and raised in San Francisco, CA He later moved to New York City to attend Parsons School of Design. In 2005 he decided to pursue the launch of his own label. The collection began predominately in knitwear, represented by six unisex silhouettes. In 2008, Alex received top honors as the recipient of the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund In 2009, he was announced the winner of the Swarovski Womenswear Designer of the Year; and in 2009, he was the recipient of the Swiss Textiles Award. Alexander Wang was acknowledged by GQ as Best Menswear Designer of the Year and by the CFDA for Best Accessory Designer that same year. Alexander Wang opened its first flagship store, February 2011, in SOHO, NYC.

Today Today, Alexander Wang has over 15 stores worldwide In November 2012 following Nicolas Ghesquière’s surprise departure from Balenciaga, WWD announces that Wang will be the house’s new creative head.

Cotton fibers are typically off white, and are easily bleached and dyed. Less drape than knit cotton, but still has quite a flexible drape. Wrinkles easily due to its low resilience to elastic recovery of the fibers, as well as it shrinks during the first few launderings due to the relaxation shrinkage.
