Poetry Analysis Target: In your table top groups, you will be assigned a poem and work together to analyze and understand the poem finding figurative language.

Poems and your assignment: The number of the poem matches your GROUP number: #1 “Where I’m From” page 92 #2 “Woman with Kite” page 121 #3 “Grape Sherbet” page 122 #4 “My Papa’s Waltz” handout #5 “The Rose That Grew from Concrete” handout

Task: Complete the Quote Analysis Sheet Each group member will fill out the Poetry Analysis Sheet (weekly score grade). Follow the exact instructions! Once you have completed this, show Mrs. Weyhrauch. Grab a laptop and go to Google Drive.

TASK: As a group, share a document via Google Drive and group write an analysis of the poem (QUIZ SCORE!).
