Total Project Budget $293, “Muscles in Motion” Inside activities The Traveling Dance System, Wiis, Cardio Kids Circuit machines Outdoor activities Fitness path, including outdoor equipment stations, available to the students as well as the community, Other Salad bar cart, large video monitor for the cafeteria, health training for faculty and staff, hydroponic gardens
Short Term Outcomes 10% more children will engage in physical activities each year of the project period Fitness levels will increase by 10% each year of the project period Children will increase their consumption of healthy foods by 25% each year of the project 10% more parents will participate in wellness/fitness activities with their children each year of the project
Long Term Goal The Cobbles Community will become more active outside of school and will internalize the need to stay active as a lifelong goal The Cobbles Community will understand importance of periodic activity to improve concentration and memory and will employ these principles throughout their lives Teachers will continue to infuse health, fitness and nutrition into the school day beyond the 3 year grant The project will become a permanent, successful part of our school and will serve as a model for other schools
