Project description (Phase I) Eyang Atem Ako is a village in Upper Bayang Sub-division, Manyu Division, South West Region of Cameroon Problems o It is not grid-connected o It does not have access to potable pipe borne water o Health issues o Low economic development o Personal comfort Opportunity o Availability of suitable solar resource Project requirements o Design a solar photovoltaic (PV) micro-grid for electrification o Design a solar PV water pumping system for potable water

Solar Resource Eyang Atem Ako o Lattitude: 5°26'24" North; Longitude: 9°29'17" East; Elevation: 220 m a.s.l. o Min: 3.98 kWh/m 2 /day (Aug); Max: 6.80 kWh/m 2 /day (Jan); Avg: 5.45 kWh/m 2 /day 3.0 kWh/m 2 /day for water pumping
