Drug Use and Abuse Illegal drugs – are substances that are against the law for people of any age to manufacture, possess, buy, or sell.

Drug Abuse Is the use of a drug for nonmedical purposes.

Marijuana Is a drug made from a hemp plant. It is usually smoked, and it is often the first illgal drug teens use. Immediate effects: inability to think or speak clearly, difficulty paying attention, loss of short term memory, lack of coordination, slowed reaction time. Long term effects: problems with body development, damage to immune cells, feeling of anxiety/panic.
