St. Louis Comic Directory's Guide to Free Comic Book Day

Before the big day: Research this year's selection of available comics. The selection changes every year. Find out if the store limits customers to a certain number of free comics.

Before the big day: Decide: Am I going to wear my super hero costume? If the answer is yes, make sure your costume is in tip-top shape and you have all the accessories together.

On Free Comic Book Day Know which stores your are going to and in what order. Larger stores will usually have larger selections of comic books. Get to the store early, there's usually a line.

On Free Comic Book Day If there's a line, be patient. This day only comes once a year so take a minute to take it all in. Stand in line and get your free comics. Try reading something new!

On Free Comic Book Day It's always nice to buy something from the store that just gave you a pile of new comics. If you're wearing your costume, answer all photo requests.
