Right after a puppy is born, he can't walk, hear or see; however, his sense of smell is already fully developed. Beginning in the third week, a puppy's senses begin to awaken. Puppyhood ends between six and 18 months of age. Adolescence starts between six and 18 months of age. Adulthood starts between 12 months and three years of age.
