Important dates of Video production history By: Yvonne Arias

The first movie ever made The first series of moving pictures was The Horse In Motion in 1878 by Eadweard Muybridge. This was a series of pictures played in sequence to prove if all four hooves are off the ground when a horse is galloping.

The first patented cameras made One of the first patented motion picture film cameras was designed by Lewis Le Prince in It still exists with the National Media Museum, England. Le prince employed paper bands and celluloid film from John Carbuut and or Blair & Eastman in 1 and three- fourths inch width. One of the first known motion picture camera that actually worked was created by Thomas Alva Edison.

The first animated projection The first animated projection (screening), was created in France by Charles-Emile Reynaud. Reynaud created the praxinoscope in `1877. On October 28, 1892, he showed his first animation in public, Paurve Pierrot at the Musee Grevin in Paris.

The First reality television show. The first reality television show was “An American Family” a 12 episode documentary that aired on PBS in 1973.

The first steamboat Willie ever Broadcasted The first Steamboat Willie ever Broadcasted was first aired in September in 1928 after sending it to New York to hav e music recorded to it.

Disney's first full length animated Featured film. On December 21, 1937 is Disney's first full length animated featured film “ Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” premieres at the Carthay Circle theatre in Hollywood. It is the industry's first full length animated movie. The 1.5 million needed to complete the film nearly bankrupted the company. Two million drawings make up 83 minute film.
