Critical Thinking 1 Pronunciation: What eleven-letter word is pronounced incorrectly by more than 99% of Ivy League graduates?

ANSWER Incorrectly!

Critical Thinking 2 Snail lema: A snail is climbing up a one-meter high wall. It Advances three centimeters per minute and then stops for one minute to rest, during which it slides back down two centimeters. How long will the snail take to reach the top of the wall?

ANSWER 195 Minutes: You might think that the snail would take 200 minutes to travel 100 centimeters, but you have to realize that at the end of the 194 th minute the snail will be 3 centimeters from the top. This means that in the 195 th minute the snail will reach the top will not slide down again. I made it in only 195 minutes. WOOT!
