Forces EQ : How do forces help you learn about the world around you? LT-I can tell a force is a push or pull. LT- I can tell three ways a force moves an object. LT- I can show ways a force moves or stops objects.

Push A push can change the motion of an object. It can change the way the object moves in three ways. Slo wer Change Direction Faster

Pull A pull can change the motion of an object. It can change the way the object moves in three ways. Slo wer Change Direction Faster

LT-I can tell a force is a push or pull. Decide if the picture is a push or a pull.

LT- I can tell three ways a force moves an object. Identify which picture is making something go faster, slower, and changing the direction of an object. A Push from the bat will make the ball change direction. Pushing his feet down will slow the dog down. A push on the skate will make the girl go faster.

LT- I can show ways a force moves or stops objects. A push or a pull is needed to start objects moving, keep objects moving, or stop objects that are moving. Explain what the girl should do if she wants to keep moving. Tell what she should do to make the scooter go faster. Identify ways that she could stop the scooter.
