Lesson Plan 1: Healthy Flower=Healthy Student This lesson plan allows students to plant a flower in an individualized pot. They are then expected to water it and let it sit in the windowsill in the sunlight. They will watch the growth of the flower and document it in a journal. The lesson will correlate with a nutrition topic explaining to children how healthy foods enable them to grow healthy and strong.

Lesson Plan 2: Playing it Safe on the Playground As an entering kindergartener, they are nervous, excited, and inquisitive. However, many of the students have not had proper rules establishment when it comes to playground etiquette. This lesson introduces the correct way to behave on a playground and then allows the children to brainstorm some rules of their own and how they would react if they saw their friend misbehaving. Also, it ensures the teacher will continuously monitor the students for safe playground behavior.
