Integration and Installation Status for Collaboration Meeting Ans Pardons, 29/9/2015

Integration Views and models available: (Static view, June 2015) (Dynamic model, Official release July 2015) Note that the model and views are just for general information and are not complete (not everything is shown) nor updated as there are many on-going integration studies. Everything shown in the dynamic model is approved. IF  THEN You want a view for your presentations  Use the static view above or create views from the dynamic model. You need to know dimensions, space available etc.  Please look first at the dynamic model and in CDD for archived drawings (Search for SPSLAWK% and SPSLJAWK% on ) and contact integration if needed. You have new equipment for integration in the area  Contact integration with as much concrete information as possible (location, object volumes, handling or access volumes, other requirements). Contact: 2

3 Dynamic model allows zoom, pan, rotate, dimension extraction and hide/show of elements.

On-going studies Fire safety  Fire compartmentalization Hot spots: ~700l oil in TCV4 for Klystron and ~120l oil for plasma cell in TT41/TCC4  needs urgent risk analysis Requested at many locations, including electron tunnel, rack area, spectrometer tunnel, … Access doors cannot be combined with fire door  double Study on-going, but the views in the next slide show where an access door and fire door is requested. 4

On-going studies Proposal for OTR/CTR routing and TSG41 dark lab 5

On-going studies First discussions for spectrometer diagnostics 6

On-going studies Klystron, e-source (design and integration) Engineering study of shielding on-going (cost?) 7

On-going studies Fire, access and ventilation doors in TT41 & TT43 8 Standard passage for personnel & material from 2017 on

TSG4: Rack area Last area with dismantling and installation work before declassification of AWAKE to supervised radiation area Fuel load and access conditions very different wrt CNGS (  fire safety requests) 9

Civil engineering 10 Still need coring in shielding for future cables

Cabling and Cooling/Ventilation 11 TSG42 for spectrometer passage (also needs fire door + access door + duct) TSG4 new ventilation TSG40 new ventilation (laser clean room) TCV4/TT43 cooling and compressed air

TSG40 and TT41 (Laser) 12 Support for beam elements in TSG40 and TT41 Ventilation and access control

Installation of proton beam line magnets 13 Next: Installation of vacuum and beam instrumentation. Plasma cell early 2016

Extra 14

15 Fire doors to be integrated and main fuel loads in AWAKE
