How to Read….during Readers’ Theater Created by: Mrs. A. Pellegrin

What is Readers’ Theater? Readers’ Theater is when a group of students perform a script or play for an audience

How should you read? Let’s Watch a Readers’ Theater performance to see… Click here……

When you read a script aloud… Make your voice go up and down to help you read with expression Let’s Practice…. Host: Good Morning! Let’s get started. I think most of you have already watched “What’s My Job?

When you read a script aloud… Take time to read each word correctly, if you make a mistake, correct yourself Let’s Practice… Announcer: We’re lucky we have a committee of expert detectives to work on it!

When you read a script aloud… Look up occasionally at the audience as you read Read clearly and with feeling Listen quietly and politely as others read aloud

The Performer’s Pledge As I read a script aloud, I will read the words carefully. I’ll correct myself if I make any mistakes. I will raise and lower my voice to show the characters’ feelings and emotions.
