Quarter 1 + Quarter 2 = Semester 1 Quarter 3 + Quarter 4 = Semester 2 1 st year= 9 th grade = Freshman Must take 6 classes each semester 2 nd year = 10 th grade = Sophomore Must take 6 classes each semester 3 rd year = 11 th grade = Junior Must take 5 classes each semester 4 th year = 12 th grade = Senior Must take 5 classes each semester
22 credits are needed to graduate .5 (1/2) credit = passing 1 semester of 1 class There are 7 class periods in a day Most earn 6-7 credits in a year 6 X 4 years = 24 credits Lunch does not count as a period No credit is earned in study hall
