What is Carbon Footprint? A Carbon Footprint is a measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of green house gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide.
Reduces Carbon Emissions In The Home Within your home try to: Reduce the use of electrical appliances When replacing appliances, try to buy appliances which use less power and have a good energy rating Turn things off when not in use Replace standard light bulbs with their low energy equivalents
Kitchen Use natural light whenever available If you are using bulbs to light up your place, switch to CLF light bulbs Only run the dishwasher when it’s a full lode Use tap water not bottled
Living Room Turn off or unplug all appliances when not using them TV Lights Replaces old light bulbs with CLF bulbs Use natural light when you can instead of lights
