Sequence Informational Text Structure ●Words show the order in which events take place ● Signal that something has happened, something in sequence/ progression/ the logical order of things. ○ Can be “How-To” articles, but we’re looking at other varying types of sequence structures

Descriptive Informational Text Structure ●Words that “paint a picture” for the reader as a topic ●Utilizes the five senses

For homework due 12/4/2015: 1.Using these articles, you will create a graphic organizer for each article read in class of your own that represents each text structure. 2.Be creative and use text evidence. 3.Think of what could represent sequence and description. 4.The graphic organizer must be a logical representation of the text structure.
