3 Economic Value Annual visitor expenditures estimated in excess of $318 million for the period of June 2000 – May Florida State Department of Commerce has estimated the the SCUBA industry generates over $1 billion dollars of revenue in the state including all travel related expenses

6 Real Life Challenges Coastal communities face growing problems. It is estimated the approx. 60% of our population live with in 60 miles of the coast. The loss of working waterfront due to development has the potential to severely change the economic make up of the community.
