SEASONS!!! India has four climatological seasons 1. Winter, occurring from December to March 2. Summer or pre-monsoon season, lasting from April to June 3. Monsoon or rainy season, lasting from July to September 4. Post-monsoon or autumn season, lasting from October to November
WINTER!!! Starting from November lasting till March, the winter days in India are bright and pleasant with average temperature of 16 to 18 degree Celsius. January is generally the coldest month of the year wherein the temperature drops down to less than 15 degrees even. Some areas in the northern India observe snow fall and severe cold waves. Winter attracts the maximum of tourist traffic to India but also invites an innumerable bird species to its pleasant surroundings.
SUMMER BOILING HOT INDIA!!! Going from March to June, the summer season is the hottest time in most of the parts of India. The month of June is the hottest month of the year when temperature crosses even 45 degrees. Hot winds and scorching sun are the two most inseparable constituents of Indian summer. It is not advisable to the tourists to visit the country during summer.
MONSOON!!! The monsoon season in India brings along a quite heavy rainfall along the west coast between June and September whereas the eastern coast observes rains somewhere between mid-October and December. 70% of the population depends on monsoon rains for irrigation. considerable amount of the entire electricity consumption in India is also generated by water power provided by the monsoon rains.
Monsoon at times is accompanied by torrential rainstorms that cause some violent landslides at times that have the potential of sweeping away the entire towns or villages.
