Using Medicine Ball in Training Programs of Throwing a Handball Using Medicine Ball in Training Programs of Throwing a Handball

The exercises of medicine ball became a basic important part of the annual training schedule of throwing events for developing the helping muscles surrounding the shoulder joint, also for promoting the flexibility of both of shoulder & waist joints. Also it is considered to bean excellent training aid that coaches generally & handball coaches specially can benefit from, since handball skills like Shooting & Passing depends on the throwing skills. This is why the handball coach should have a list for the applications of medicine ball with its different weights in each training phase that is used mainly for developing speed & strength in general for both arms & specifically for the throwing arm.

There are three main advantages for using the medicine ball :

1- Specialty in training the strength of throwing

. 2- Increasing the speed strength for the body parts in general & the upper part specially.
