Commonly known as the “ kid” was a very influential person in the Harlem renaissance. She won a award for one of her first pieces the “typewriter” She also founded the challenger, a magazine that was an outlet for black authors.

 3t’s-  Theme- a mans disillusionment an how his life is different from how he hoped it would be.  Tone- sad, sorrow into sort of of happy playful  Technique - used a one person perspective, also froma tired old mans perspective.
