Gather more information from parents about their child when they first start. Enhance self-evaluation and make better use of the views of parents and professionals, in order to clearly identify strengths and areas of improvement. Gather more information about what children know and can do from parents when they first start. Autumn 2015

Key Ofsted Recommendations (Good +) Continual professional development: Continue with professional development that builds further on skills that enhance children's learning and development. Self-evaluation process: Take more account of children's views and enrich the self-evaluation process further. Observation, assessment and planning: Support children to settle when they first start by seeking relevant information to plan activities that are fully matched to their likes and interests. Focus more on children's individual next steps in learning, so that they make the best possible progress. Autumn 2015

Key Ofsted Recommendations (Good +) L&D: Communication and language: Focus even more on children's communication, language and literacy development and increase the potential for rapid progress in these aspects of their learning.
