NEED The need for Digital Storytelling evolved from a want to both use the time of tradition of storytelling and engage students and teachers in the learning process using a common and effective tool….technology.

RESEARCH Various institutions and groups have devoted their time and energy to the effective use and implementation of Digital Storytelling These groups have found that when Digital Storytelling is used effectively, it allows individuals to create stories anywhere, on any subject, and shared electronically over the world. “Tell me a fact and I’ll learn it. Tell me a truth and I’ll believe it. Tell me a story and I will remember it” ( They have convinced various others of the use of Digital Storytelling through research of success and training.

DEVELOPMENT The main issues related to Digital Storytelling, although this is an effective form to integrate technology into the classroom, ensuring that it is done effectively has been the common concern. Therefore, various websites, training sessions and books have been created in an effort to address the issue. The intended audience for this innovation was within the educational arena to engage students in the learning process through technology. This has grown into personal use for families to record and maintain a history of their families personal stories.

COMMERCIALIZATION Still in the process of finding the information to support this section….although I know that everyone is working on their own projects any assistance is appreciated! I did find that the most common distribution of this innovation is through: 1. Websites 2. Training
