Predicate Nouns and Predicate Adjectives
P.N. and P.A. A predicate noun and a predicate adjective will come behind a LINKING verb.
P.N. and P.A. They will NEVER be located in a prepositional phrase
Predicate Noun A noun that follows a linking verb and renames or defines the subject
Predicate Noun Examples- The boy is a football player. She is an incredible dancer.
Predicate Adjective A predicate adjective is an adjective that follows a linking verb that modifies the subject.
Predicate Adjectives Examples- The teacher became excited with her class. The children were upset with the teacher.
