Homework  Refer to the weekly newsletter for that week’s homework ( ed on Mondays, on website)  Give your child a comfortable, well-lit area for homework completion  Read the directions with or to your child to confirm understanding  Allow your child to work independently, and then answer questions  Allow your child to sound out words and write the sounds that they hear for each word  Developmental spelling is appropriate for this age level  It is a step towards correct spelling  Known sight words should be spelled correctly  Please read with your child! Read aloud and listen.
