Presentation transcript:

Shaving foam or paint on a baking tray is a great sensory way to practise formation, they could use their fingers, a paint brush or the rubber end of a pencil.

Sand, glitter and powder paint are also creative ways to practise letter formation, you can adapt them to suit your child’s interests.

Taking it outdoors can be exciting, small clip boards, chunky chalks, charcoal and crayons are all fun ways to develop letter and number formation.

A great way to motivate children to write is to give them a purpose to do so. For example; shopping lists, party invites, cards, letters, sticky notes for reminders. It can also be worthwhile to appeal to their interests by getting themed stationery such as Frozen paper pads and pencils, or a Minions clipboard etc.
