The newborn calve weight 150 to 200 pounds. They sure are fat! The newborn calves ,as they are called, start to walk within a hour of birth. The newborn calves have nursing from nine to eleven months.

Giraffe’s Death Giraffe’s can die because when they give birth to newborn calves. They also die because the predators hunt for them and eat them. The population of the giraffes are decreasing each day.
