Charity Celiac Disease 5K Run Support of Celiac Disease Foundation’s mission to drive early diagnosis and treatment of Celiac disease through advocacy, education and advancing research to improve the quality of life for all people with gluten-related disorders. April 2 nd, 2016 on campus $20 for one runner, $16 each for teams of 3 or more. You don’t have to run to support this cause! PAMSA’s Page – Karina’s Page -

Community Outreach Weekly Events Hillsborough County Aging Services: designed to enhance the lives of older adults age 50 and over., in- home services and helping to provide a hot meal. Time: Tuesdays from 10:30- 12:00pm Achintya Patel Shriners Hospital for Children: Only four people are allowed to come with me each week. During the hour time frame PAMSA members will partake in arts and crafts activities with the patients, while earning community service hours. Time: Every Monday from 10:30 – 11:30 Miriah Grace John Knox Retirement Community: Conducting different activities for the senior residents, such as watching movies and other events. Community Outreach Weekly Events Tutoring at Pizzo Elementary: An opportunity to work with kids by reading with them and mentoring them. *Background check required for this event Time: Every Wednesday from 3:45- 4:45pm Epilepsy Services Foundation: On average, once a week we will attend a variety of different opportunities that will enhance our knowledge and awareness regarding Epilepsy. Physician Shadowing – Spring Semester Celine Cordon Tai Nguyen Physician Shadowing through Pre-Med AMSA will give students an opportunity to shadow physicians as they execute their occupation. In order to partake in the program, each student must fulfill the requirements: 1) Exist as an active member of Pre- Med AMSA and have paid the dues 2) Accumulate at least five points 3) Attend one workshop 4) Complete the application Upcoming events: Informational workshop on February 16 th from 3:30-5:00pm in MSC 3707
