Work Plans For Private Public & CSO 5 Organizations at 2 day TOT Workshop developed individual work plans they would implement in their respective organizations Workplans included rap sessions, small group discussions, training & empowerment sessions, skits and role plays, dissemination of materials, referrals to H&S, classroom discussions

Family Planning Achievements A total of 52 clients from H&S Crisis Centre & Home for Abused Women benefitted from FP information A total of 1,697 persons, 1,389 women and 308 men from 16 communities in Region 3 & 4 were given FP relevant information on a wide number of topics Women, youth and men were reached through community groups, FBO, vocational centres, health centres and house to house visits

Challenges H&S was unable to meet our targets for ongoing workshops & sessions with private & public sector organizations Private & public sector organizations want educational sessions done in 1st quarter when production tends to be low Management of some private & public sector org. do not recognize or understand the importance of GBV & SRH educations and prevention for their employees

Many private & public org.sessions agreed on were cancelled Disbursements of UNFPA funds to IP partners are allocated too late in calendar year making it difficult to reach targets

FP contraceptives such as condoms and pills are not available at many community health centres in Region 3 &4 At 1 HC only contraceptive injections were available so women were all put on these, they were not given a choice of methods Due to lack of funds H&S has been unable to photcopy FP leaflets for distribution

Women have complained about confidentiality at HC, so they don’t want to join FP clinics Youth prefer to use condoms which they purchase so they don’t have to deal with scrutiny and disapproval for intimate relationships from family members etc
