Homeostasis and Cell Specialization YOU GUYS KNOW THIS STUFF!!

Homeostasis The process by which all cells maintain an internal environment separate from their external environment What processes have we talked about this chapter? Unicellular organisms do this on a much smaller, more efficient scale But what about multicellular organisms? CELLULAR SPECIALIZATION!

Cellular Specialization Cells of multicellular organisms are specialized They still carry out the same functions of all cells, but have other jobs as well THEY WORK OVERTIME! Remember our trachea cells? Not just animal cells!

Levels of Organization These specialized cells give rise to different levels of organization
