What is often included on a print ad? Logo- A logo is a graphic mark or emblem used by commercial enterprises, organizations and even individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition, a symbol that represents a company. Print ad-printed form of communication intended to persuade an audience The Headline- Short and snappy statement that helps grab the consumers The copy- the main text of the ad. Some ads may take a minimalist approach, a line or two or a single paragraph. Contact- The contact or signature of an ad may appear anywhere in the ad although it is usually near the bottom. It consists of one or more of: Logo, Advertiser Name, Address, Phone Number, Map, or website.

Why “good advertising” is essential? 90% of advertising is bad. 90% of it is unnoticed and fails. No matter how many times an ad is run, if it is dull, boring, and poor the audience will ignore it.

Four qualities that make up a good ad: 1. Attracts attention: attractive COLORS, BOLD HEADINGS, and pictures 2. Arouses interest: good word choice 3. Creates desire: uses propaganda techniques to make you believe you want it or need it 4. Causes action: gets results. Sells the product to the targeted audience.
