STARTER: TIMED QUESTION Outline the characteristics of an affective disorder (10). Have a go at this question without your notes. You should have reviewed for homework. You have 12 minutes 15 with AT If you finish: How do you think operant conditioning could be used to treat dysfunctional behaviour?

How would we go about answering this question?

IntroductionThere are many different ways of explaining dysfunctional behaviour, and some explanations may be more appropriate for certain disorders than others. P1The biological explanation assumes that behaviour is the result of genetics, chemical imbalances or brain structure. A strength of this is that there is evidence to support the explanation: Gottesman as evidence and supporting evidence for Gottesman.
